Dangerous goods training

Dangerous goods training

Dangerous goods training imparts knowledge and tools to crew members in order for them to ensure the safe transportation of dangerous goods by air. The training complies with the requirements of ICAO TI and IATA DGR.

We offer the following FOCA-certified dangerous goods courses:

  • Initial training for flight crew members of a carry operator*
  • Refresher training for flight crew members of a carry operator
  • Initial training for cabin crew members of a carry operator
  • Initial training for cabin & flight crew members of a no-carry operator**
  • Refresher training for cabin & flight crew members of a no-carry operator

Our instructors are FOCA-approved category-6 instructors and meet the highest requirements of the ICAO.

*Carry operator = aircraft operators that are approved to transport dangerous goods as cargo.
*No-carry operator = aircraft operators that are not approved to transport dangerous goods as cargo.

Customisation

The courses can be designed according to customer requirements. However, customised courses have to be approved by the relevant authority. FOCA requires at least two months for this process in Switzerland.

Requirements

There are no special requirements for initial training.

Refresher training may only be attended if the last training course was less than two years ago. If it was a longer time ago, initial training is again required.

Examinations & approvals

Participants must take an examination. After passing the examination, a confirmation of course attendance is issued on request.
