The airspace of the North Atlantic which links Europe and North America is the busiest oceanic airspace in the world. Demanding the highest standards of horizontal and vertical navigation performance and operating discipline. The MNPS course covers rules and policies and introduces procedures to operate safely and efficiently in this airspace.

Objectives

After the course the participant

  • states the general operational approval and aircraft system requirements
  • explain the different routing definitions including organized track system and random routes
  • demonstrate knowledge of flight planning and oceanic clearance
  • state MNPS normal flight procedures and in-flight contingencies
