Extended Range Operations with Two-Engined aeroplanes (ETOPS)

Extended Range Operations with Two-Engined aeroplanes (ETOPS)

Oceanic routes and flights over remote areas may require flight further than one hour flying time from an en-route aerodrome. For a twin engined aeroplane this will require different approvals and procedures. The SAT ETOPS course covers the complex regulations along with planning and operational procedures required as part of an ETOPS operational approval.

After the course the participant states general ETOPS regulations, the detailed baseline of performance calculations and necessary procedures to enable a safe and efficient flight.
